Enhancement of “The System of Japan’s National Universities”
- As the system Japan’s national universities, we promote various collaborations and restructure, and enhance functions of the all Japan’s national universities
TO DO for 2040 by 2035
Improvement of the “Summation of Japanese Intelligence”
- Adjustment of capacity of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
- Expansion of postgraduate programmes (Make the number of Ph.D. holders three times and produce 30,000 Ph.D. annually)
- Increase of the university enrollment rate (Elimination of regional differences, and enhance the diversity by promoting women, workers and others to enroll universities)
- Increase of the number of international students and make its rate 30%
Improvement of Reseach Capacities
- Improvement of the number of Top 10% journal to a 5% share and rank within the top 5
- Demand for sufficient grants, such as fundamental research expenses, Grants-Aid for Science Research called “KAKENHI”, from the national government and related institutions
- Expansion of supports for young researchers, and promotion of flowability and internationality
- Improvement of infrastructure for research activities, such as facilities, work environment, and support system
Contribution to Regional Revitalization
- Industry-Academia-Local Government collaborations
- Collaborations with local governmental universities and private universities
- Collaborations between national university hospitals and local governmental or local-private hospitals
